For many years I have worked with crystals, in particular crystal singing bowls, and also had an interest in crystal skulls. I understand that they are able to hold and transmit large amounts of information. One day as I was navigating my way through cyberspace, I came across an interesting website specializing in the sale of crystal skulls, the owners of which also had access to two of the ancient skulls. But my interest was really drawn when I saw a photo of two Q’ero healers from the high Andes of Peru, who were visiting USA and making despachos/ceremonies and offerings to Pachamama/Mother Earth. But what really sparked my interest was when I read more about them.

The Q’eros are supposedly the direct descendants of the Inkas, and in fact their lineage and teachings go way back. When the Spanish conquistadores arrived in Peru, these indigenous people fled to the high Andes mountains and continued to live there for the next five hundred years or so, with no contact with other worlds. They are said to be the Weavers of Light, wisdom keepers from an ancient lineage. Nobody knew of their existence until about fifty years ago when they came down from the mountains to fulfill their ancient prophecy. The prophecy foretold that when the snow started to melt on the high mountain peaks and the condor was almost extinct, it would be time to come down from the mountains and share the wisdom teachings that they had been saving for these times. Along with the Mayans of Central America, the Kogis of Colombia and the Hopi of North America and other indigenous people, their teachings are to do with respecting and taking care of, not only each other, but also of our dear Mother Earth or Pachamama. They say that as it is the Westerners who have almost destroyed the planet, they will pass their knowledge to these Westerners, but it is they who will have to take charge of repairing the damage that has been done to her, if we are all going to survive and not destroy ourselves totally.

This resonated so totally with me as I was not new to these prophecies, and I knew instantly that one of the three crystal skulls included in the ceremonies was to be mine. The two Q’eros said this was the first time ever that they had allowed three skulls to be present, when they didn’t yet know who their guardians were to be. These skulls had been included in initiation ceremonies of transmissions of light and direct connection to their ancient lineage and wisdom. That was it…….I hit the BUY button! Afterwards I remember thinking “How much was it?” At the time the price didn’t seem important as I understood the value of what I would be receiving.

Unfortunately the Spanish customs officials didn’t understand any of this as they grabbed my sacred skull on its journey to me from the USA, and stuck it unceremoniously in their customs shed. After a very distressing month of faxes, money transfers, e mails and phone calls, my skull finally arrived, all five kilos of what appeared to be a him.

For a long time I had no idea what to do with him. It was so powerful that I felt slightly intimidated. He would stare at me with his empty eye sockets. I tried meditating with him putting my third eye to his, gazing into his eye sockets and anything I could do to try and connect. All my healer friends wanted to meet him, but I said “I am not ready yet and nor is he.”

Then one evening it seemed the right moment to include the skull in one of my regular crystal bowl evenings, and in that way introduce him to the general public. About fifteen people came to my house that evening. I had set up the crystal bowls in a semi-circle with the skull in front with a candle behind illuminating the clear crystal. I could feel the transmission of energy taking place between the skull and the bowls, but a friend of mine who could “see” told us all afterwards what it looked like to her. She said that rainbow colours passed between the skull and the bowls and back again, and that it was quite beautiful to behold. That was the skull’s first connection with the world in which I live and to the sounds of the crystal bowls.

Later that year of 2012, I knew that it was time to record my next CD. I work intuitively, so I booked the recording studio for two days in May. I had no idea what I would be recording. The time came closer and closer and I still had no idea what I was doing. No inspiration came to me. So the evening before the recording date, I went to my healing room and decided to speak seriously to the skull. “Look” I said “I am recording tomorrow, and I haven’t a clue what I am doing. Please help me and at least give me some names of tracks.” And at that moment it all came flooding into my consciousness.

The CD is to be called The Sacred Feminine. The tracks are:

“Wow” I thought “that is pretty powerful!” Of course I was aware of the. Mayan prophecies of how a whole era was about to end in December of 2012, and more importantly a new one would begin ushering in the return of the feminine energy. So the next two days I spent in the recording studio and the music began to flow through me. A few months later The Sacred Feminine was recorded, edited and published.
